I recently was reading a cookboob on Sephardic cooking and noticed
the similarities between some of the recipes and some medieval cooking.
They was one listed "Composto" which was a mixture of dried fruits and
nuts, simple to the compost recipe that was over the Net not too long ago.
I found several recipes for chicken in cinnamon and honey, in a sour-sweet
plum sauce, fish in a similar sauce. The introduction gave a historical
background about the people and the cooking. So to those who have cooked
both medieval and Sephardic how closely related are they?
