SC - Research assistance needed

I am working on some feast ideas, and would appreciate any assistance of
finding sources or ideas for research directions for the following:

England, France and the Middles (1000s to early 1200s)
Venice, Mongolia and China (1200s through 1300s)
Portugal and Ethiopia (1400s to 1500s)

I've already gotten some good ideas from friends to whom I posted this
request privately, but this mailing list offers a wider pool of
knowledge.
