<< What's a solteltie? >>

Solteltie= subtlety= a fancy desert served at the end of a feast with much
ooo's and ahhhh's. Usually it is craftily contructed, such as a gingerbread
castle with little marzipan warriors, people and animals. Many times a
working fountain or moveble doors were incorporated. An edible chest filled
with various gold-leaf covered sweets in the shape of treasures might be
another example or a heraldic cake, etc.
