sca-cooks Guilds?

How do you usually go about forming a good cooks guild?  I have my own ideas.
 In the small group I am from, we have more "cooks" than you can shake a
stick at. (at least 1 per household)  I have brougt it up on more than one
occasion, and have been met with stiff resistance.  All I can figure is that
the others don't want to share, and play well with other children.  Have any
of you who are in cooks guilds had the professional jealousy monster rear
its' head?  How did you handle it?
