I don't know if itt's a Pennsylvania thing or not but The local soup kitchen
here in Williamsport is glad to get any food, cooked or packaged. It is run
by the Sisiers of Christian Charity so perhaps the fact that they are a
church group instead of publicly funded allows them to accept ANY food
whatsoever.Or, perhaps, they believe God will protect them from food
poisoning and any law suits that may be brought against them. They also
regularly recieve confiscated animals from the Game commission.
