Greetings to you all from Mary Grace of the shire of Castlemere, kingdom of
Trimaris

I am a new subscriber to the list and wanted to introduce myself to you.  I
have grown up in the restaurant business, and love to cook.  My father owns a
restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, and I have learned a lot from working
with him, as well as several generations of wonderful family cooks.  I did
catering for large groups mundanely, and I would like to learn more about
cooking period foods for  events.  I am new to the SCA <almost a year> and
have never even worked at feast, but am planning on helping at a small event
this Autumn, and from there, we will just have to see.  I am hoping that my
kitchen organizational skills that I already have  will be useful, but
realize that I know nothing about ""period cooking"", which is why I have
subscribed to the list.  The few posts that I have already received seem to
indicate that this will be a good learning experience for me.  Thanks to
everyone that helps by sharing :)
