I think hot milk or warm milk sweetened with honey and a little spice would 
be nice.   It's also helps them sleep.  Hot caudles are very period.   I 
would probably warm it and not boil or make it too hot.  Also the carob or 
St. John's Bread grows in the mediterranean area and produces a pod that 
contains beans which tastes alot like chocolate.  If interested I can find 
out more.
