Agreed, Adamantius that fresh-from-the shell are better, but unfortunately
that is seldom an option in the midwest- we're too far from the coasts, and
they're learning about seafood slowly here. But keep in mind that when I
first moved here, I would occasionally "treat" myself to a can of
commercial oyster stew, just for a reminder of what real oysters taste
like... and I HATE canned food! These shucked oysters are a VAST
improvement.
