 It was done already, lol, and i really doubt that anybody could make
this for much less than 2500-5000 a person, for at least 30 people.
Though do keep in mind that like at the sca feasts, you get small
portions, and dont eat each dish. I remember reading in a different
book-food in history, iirc, that it was common for 4 to 8 people to
share a serving dish of any given food, and that one young student was
so terribly shy, he never had the temerity to ask for a dish to be
passed, and he didnt pass the dish in front of him-which made the others
at his corner of the table upset because he ate almost the whole thing,
which was some sort of delicacy. probably purely apocriphal but rather
amusing if you stop and think about it.

another thing i have read of that my hub and i do is share one place
setting, which was also done in period, and at one time i was sitting at
high table in atlantia, and wasnt really planning to be on board so all
i could scrounge was a bowl and a roll of paper towels, and i
scandalized a number of people because i ate and drank everything from
my bowl, put my meats and other things on a trencher of bread and used
my fingers and a knife.
