SC - typo?

In the absence of plausible routes for the mistranslation, I cast my
vote for a scribal error in which the right-hand vertical of the "w"
gets too close to the "i", producing something like "uone".  If
furthermore the other two verticals of the "w" were much heavier than
the horizontal at the bottom, and the first one were a smidge taller
than the second, this could well be read as "hone".  Any calligraphers
care to comment?  Does anybody know what hand the Sloane ms. is written
in?
