SC - Margali's scandalous table manners

I have a Filipino friend who eats with her fingers and looks perfectly
elegant. I've been trying to imitate her but I haven't quite got it down
yet. She, by the way, does an absolutely wonderful job of frying fish- she
fries it so wonderfully that the entire fish is edible except for an inch
of backbone, and she's the one who taught me to eat fish-heads. When I
asked her why she ate them, she said that back home, her father would have
punished her if she left food un-eaten. I have come to like the head as
well or better than the rest of the fish, eye-balls and all.
