Dragonfyr, does your community's landfill/waste management/dump have a "dump sale," or reclaimable trash recycling program?  If so, hie thee hence to the dump sale and see if any of those books were salvaged and put up for sale!!!!

I have made some incredible finds at the Saturday morning dump sale out here... and most things were literally pennies...
