Around here, I get a lot of "EEeeuuuwww!!!  You're not cooking LAMB, are you?" and similar responses.  Still, it's usually (as Ras notes) one of the first things that gets vacuumed up.

Same, incidentally, for fish; venison; and any other meats that aren't beef/pork/chicken (the holy trinity of Western feasts, IMHO).  I shared with you all, I believe, my horrible disappointment at attending the local "poacher's feast" and not getting even a whiff of venison because i was in the back of the potluck line...  

Ah-ha!  It must be a linguistics problem!!!  Folks, is/was there a medieval language out there in which "EEEEuuuuwww!  YUCK!!!" means, "Oh, please DO fix that, we'll eat every bite?"
