Or how about putting the mixture into the aforementioned cookie cutters
before drying (cutters resting on your tin tray). It's too late for it now,
but next time, you could get something really cute! Addit'l benefit: if it's
too hard to eat you could always hang it on the tree!  Sort of like those
apple sauce and cinnamon ornaments my children are always bringing home from
school at Xmas time.
