SC - Philip's Bad feasts

Actually, I'd love to do a feast, and I will, eventually, but at the moment
I'm focussing at doing a good job of being a Chirurgeon. I don't want to
try to do two jobs halfway. After all, we all know that the minute I had
something going in the kitchen that 10 seconds either way would ruin or
make magnificent, would be the minute that someone had a true emergency. By
the same token, I spend far more of my time working on my first aid/EMT
training than worrying what coronet signifies which- after all, would you
rather that I remembered that your accouterments signified that I should
call you "Your Excellency", or would you rather I remembered my CPR
training? I also feel that I need a lot more study and learning before I
would feel competent to do a proper feast, and I'm working at learning from
all of you, not to mention collecting books and playing with recipes. I
have a talent for cookery, and if you were to give me a sack of ingredients
with which I'm moderately familiar even though they may be a somewhat
unusual combination, I could throw together something tasty (Vegemite and
other things I'm not familiar with excluded). I'm a good cook mundanely,
but I need to know more before I feed people properly in SCA.
