SC - recipe request DON'T EAT THE ACORNS YET!!

You need to leach the tannins out of the acorns with several changes of cold
water soaking... otherwise they tan your stomach (worst case scenero) and you
starve. I'll send details about the process as soon as I can find the
references. I DO remember that the white oak acorns have less tannans than the
red or black oaks...
