On Wed, July 30, Tibor asks:

>How about a real world challenge. Pretend someone asks you "I am serving
>XXX and YYYY for a feast, and I need a chicken dish to go with it. What
>should I serve?"

>Is that the sort of question that you might find interesting?

That was almost exactly the question asked in the very early days of this
list by someone, except I think they just wanted ideas for a small dinner
and not necessarily a feast. There were enough good chicken recipes and
redactions given that I created a file of them and added more from other
recipe files I had. (See chicken-msg). I like that kind of question,
particularly if the messages include the original rather than just the
referance since I don't have many period referances.

How about fish or shellfish? Anybody got any more good fish or shellfish
redactions or have a recipe they would like to see redacted? Although
this might be an area that would be safer to leave to experienced cooks.
I might for instance, hurt someone with my redaction. I'm not even sure
of the precautions when cooking non-medieval seafood.
