Many of us were less concerned about the eventual fate of the bird than by 
the fact that it spent several days in an unshaded crate at Estrella.  If 
one is going to bring one's food on the hoof (so to speak), perhaps it would 
be a good idea to bring the maintenance instructions.

  "Sunday" in the Calontir Royal camp, ostensibly to rescue him from dinner.

A true son or daughter of Calontir really ought to tell the story (I just
read their mailing list) but it had nothing to do with the fate of the bird,
and LOTS to do with a long history of practical jokes played between
Calontir and Outlands.
