<< Well, I just thought you would like to know that Texas squirrels are
jalapeno connoisseurs. I sprayed my medlar tree like you all suggested,
and the little buggers stripped the tree shortly thereafter. I even made
sure to spray at least twice before the fruit was ripe. I hope the
little ba***rds rears burn for weeks.>>
Well, it worked for bugs. Can your squirrels get from tree to tree in by the
branches? If not, you can make/purchase squirrel rings to go around your
trees. It keeps them from climbing up the trunk. The ones we use up here in
Wyoming are aluminum, about 2 feet wide, and go completely around the tree
below the lowest branches. Some people cut 6 inch or so dags, and bend them
down, but it seems that the slick ones work best. Better luck next year.
BTW, my green beans have been ravaged by jalapeno loving grasshoppers. I
guess all is fair in war and war.
