Well, now we're getting somewhere!

If HRH Alinon is 9th a Century Briton, then he is, by definition, either
Welsh, Cornish, or Breton, since the Roman province of Britannia was
effectively England by then.

That would tend to point us in the direction of things like pork and
lamb dishes, toasted cheese (but probably not Digby's, mind you) various
sweet pancakes, and lots of honey in places you might not expect it...
