Greetings,

While this may be a somewhat callous comment, this particular method would
seem to eliminate the need to bring coolers to an event.  Keeping the meet
fresh is solved by keeping it alive until it's particular day to be consumed.

     Some years back, a gentleman brought a little rabbit to an event.  All
the
     ladies petted it and cuddled it, thought it was the cutest thing.  Well,
at
     dinner, Hogan killed it, cleaned it, and roasted it.

It would seem to be an eminently period solution.  However, it might color
the event negatively for too many people for me to pretend it is viable, or
tasteful.
