>>From Maggie Black's _A Taste of History_, page 63, "The Evidence for the
Foods Eaten in Roman Britain": "Not only were large game kept in parks, small
game such as hares were kept in 'leporia' or hare gardens attached to the
villas of the more well-eo-do Romas so that they would be quickly available
when needed for the table."<<

But, that is refering to the "Romas" not the Celts, and while many of them
were Romanized, you can't determine that the Celts were eating the same stuff
just because it was available. That would be like saying that all
Californians eat Chinese food, because there are alot of Chinese restaurants
here. It just tells us that the Romans who settled in Britain brought certain
habits and comforts of home with them, or reproduced them in their new space,
and that this may have influenced the native population.
Considering that the patriotic Celts seemed to have a violent aversion to most
things Roman (they deliberately went after places that showed obvious
Romanization- such as the destruction of the temple to Claudius)- seeing what
the Roman's were eating and how might have made them decide they wouldn't
touch such food.
(and so did the Roman's bring the rabbits rather than the Norman's?)
