Yes, at a recent event a gentle waited until the sausage-stuffed bread for
lunch was brought out before asking if there was pork in the sausage.  He
then complained because there was no plain bread, which he had been counting
on without telling the cook about it.  He was not satisfied with the fruit
and veggies that were provided as well.  As the cook said, "if you had told
me an hour ago, I would gladly have cooked made some plain bread for you, but
I can't do anything about it now because I've used all the bread dough".
 This gentle felt that he had been ill-used, but saw no reason why the cook
should feel that his request was in any way unreasonable.

People have to contact the cook ahead of time.  Cooks are not psychic.
