No reson for it not to, IMHO. I would think that most moderns associate the
word "sauce" with gravy or other thicker liquid . And, presumeably that is
what the original poster's tho'ts may have been referring to. However, I
would recommend at least reducing liquids by a half or more before alluding
to them as sauces. Without the reduction process, they would probably more
correctly be called broths or even "pan juices", I would think..
