I get the fresh ones at a supermarket here occasionally, and dried 
ones at Middle Eastern markets when I can get them.  Favas are a 
broad white bean with a different flavor.  The recipe in the Roden 
book (Egyptian) calls for them, and I like them better than 
chickpeas.
