Something occured to me after i had sent my original reply to this.  Based on
thIs context I can't tell what type of dish is being refered to.  It is a
common misperception that gulyas (or goulash) is meat in a heavy paprike
sauce.  A true Hungarian gulyas is a hearty meat and vegetable stew that may
or may not have paprika as a seasoning.
