If you have an active bard's guild, invite one or more of them to the feast.
Both of you can use the same test audience to practice on. ;-) The other
alternative, is to use "canned bard". Invite your friends over to watch and
discuss _which_ Three Musketeers (Robin Hood, Romeo and Juliet etc.) movie is
the best ever made. Contrary to what you may think, SCAdians WILL watch
several re-makes of the same movie in a row. You won't even have to tell
them they're testing the feast "Well, of course I cooked! You didn't think
I was going to let all of you go hungry did you?" ;-) One caveat: When the
archers decided to choose the Best Robin Hood Picture Ever, they ALL brought
their favorites and ended up watching EIGHT movies finishing up around 3 AM!
(Hey, you could test BREAKFAST recipes too! ;-)
