Does anyone know if there are extant copies (preferably print) of Gervase
Markham's *The English Husbandman* or translations of L'argiculture et maison
rustique by Richard Surflet? What other sources on animal husbandry are out
  there?

I took a tour of Hollis (Harvard's Online stuff) looking at whatever they
track of Gervase Markham. It's A LOT. (telnet hollis.harvard.edu, anyone
can do it.)

They have a couple of originals and facsimiles in their collection: not that
useful. But some of the stuff is also available in microfilm. Here is the
juice:

Microforms (Lamont): Film A 147 1487:17. Microfilm. Ann Arbor,
Mich. : University Microfilms International, 1984. 1 microfilm reel
    ; 35 mm. (Early English books, 1641-1700 : 1487:17) Microfilm

Baker Business: Kress Library Microfilm. New Haven, Conn. :
    Research Publications, [1974]. 1 microfilm reel ; 35 mm.
(Goldsmiths'-Kress library of economic literature ; no. 1726).
    Microfilm

Baker Business: Kress Library Microfilm. New Haven, Conn. :
    Research Publications, [1974]. 1 microfilm reel ; 35 mm.
(Goldsmiths'-Kress library of economic literature ; no. 2513.1).
Photographed from an imperfect copy: p. 5-12 lacking. Microfilm

Microforms (Lamont): Film A 147 607:7. Microfilm. Ann Arbor,
    Mich. : University Microfilms, 1976. 1 microfilm reel ; 35 mm.
(Early English books, 1641-1700; 607:7) Microfilm

And so forth.... Note that the canister, distributor and such are listed.

I can do the same search for your other source, if you want. Also check out
the Library of Congress online search.
