SC - Essential Oils

Good Gentles--

Have any of you done any cooking with essential oils? I have a recipe for
Kissing Comfits which calls for 2-3 drops of essence of ambergris and
essence of  musk. I've been warned against using oils meant as perfumes,
and I was wondering if they are available in a culinary form, and if so,
where I could find them.
