AHA! The version I found had milk, leeks, oatmeal, salt, and pepper. That's
IT. My taste buds wanted some meat in the dish somewhere, even if just for
taste. I also wanted cream instead of milk and the leeks sauteed in butter
first. So, perhaps it WAS a race-memory asserting itself there. It was
screaming out "That's not how you make Brotchan Foltchep, you idiot!!!".

On the basis of that experience I reccomend AGAINST the Celtic Hearths
cookbook, even if the entire book is calligraphed!
