Once I had decided "To Hell with it, if that's what the cook wanted that's what
the feast is!" I didn't change it all that much. The exceptions were that I
used Frozen French-cut green beans instead of canned (ew!) and I made a homemade
caramel-walnut sauce instead of the walnut in sugar glaze she wanted. Also
I made Saffron/Cardamon rice instead of plain white rice. If I had taken out the
tomatoes, lima beans and potatoes then I doubt it would be the Brunswick stew that
was advertised.

Thanks for the posting on green beans. I didn't know this and since green beans
are frequently served at feasts this has always grated on me.

Hey, this was a campfire feast. 2nd course is when you wipe out your bowl with a
piece of bread and get a brownie.

And don't try that "not looking at him" tactic with me. I was a Ranger and we were
trained to hit when they're not looking.

Thanks, it was a warm-up for the real feast I'm doing in January.

Yers,

Gunthar
