"White," actually - "wheat" is Weizen.
Couldn't find any of the Belgian wheat beers you folks were recommending at
the NOB package store, but they had several German ones. Bought a bottle of
Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. (Weihenstephan are in Freising, Bayern;
their label claims "Since 1040 - Oldest brewery in the world.") It
definitely tastes like beer. Blecch. (Though admittedly, it's not as
bitter as most Yank beers.)
