Back on Tuesday, Sept. 23, Melesine remarked after my comments:

I blush. That'll teach me to read my Florilegium before asking idle
questions. Thanks, Stefan, and also Adamantius for the original answer.
(I'm a bit behind in digests...)

Has it occurred to anyone that what we really need is Adamantius on CD-ROM
for these arbitrary questions, which will free him up for the really
interesting discussions? :)

This was one of my reasons for starting my files as well as for my own
needs. I thought if folks had a place to go for for the basic questions
those knowledgeable people on the nets wouldn't have to answer the same
questions over and over and perhaps we could free up time to delve into
some subjects more deeply. However, I don't want to totally stop the same
subjects from coming up again because often new items of interest come up
each time.

I just hope my many pointers to possibly useful files in my collection are
not too irritating to those who could care less.

       digests behind. sigh)
