The two cookbooks in question, BTW, are the Catalan _Libre de Sent Sovi_
(14th or early 15th c.) and the Catalan _Libre del Coch_ (late 15th, I
think).  Various people in the SCA are working on translating them, e.g.
Elbe Cheek <echeek at lexmark.com> and Nancy Mollette <NRMOLL00 at UKCC.UKY.EDU>
My wife and I translated parts of it for this feast, but I don't know
that anybody has made available a complete translation.
