Exactly, as the head cook (GODDESS, I HATE THAT TERM!:-0).I certainly can
prepare a dish well that I have no inclination for but to be told that I MUST
prepare a certain dish at an SCA feast, is well, quite another story. Getting
paid for doing something you wouldn't normally do and having others tell you
how to manage your "volunteer" activities are to different things.

Certainly within the rules of the game a brass hat or royal has the right to
"request" a certain dish but to expect that the cook would produce the dish
merely because it was asked for rather than from the goodness of the cook's
heart is ludicrous.
