I felt that this particular exercise was very well done by the people who
chose to participate. I would add that the substitution of brown rice is not
necessarily a more period substitution as rice has been polished for
centuries.
I tried one of the redactions presented and found it very acceptable even
tho' I personally don't favor orange flavored rice. :-)
