  Dolphin-the-fish is also known as mahi-mahi. This is shocking to folks?

When I was in Florida, and "dolphin" was frequently on the menu, I'd have to
explain to out of towners that it "wasn't Flipper: it's a fish".

  I think drawing the line at sentience of one degree or another is a good
  one, so while I wouldn't mind eating Dan Quayle, if properly prepared
  (at least somebody keeps him clean), I think I wouldn't care to eat
  dolphins, whales, primates in general, or parrots, which recent studies
  have shown actually DO talk, as in conversing, in some cases.
