  Seems to be almost cribbed from Paula Peck's "Art of Fine Baking", or
  perhaps vice versa. Similar publication dates,  much of the same
  material, and they were good friends for years...nonetheless both are
  excellent.

Which means that, if he found a husband lying about, he could have made a
pie, or something.  Sheesh, Adamantius, I thought that was your musical cue!

PS I wonder what my mother would have thought about the "catch a husband"
   thing, had she known that Beard was interested in catching one, too.
