SC - head cook-serious then SILLY

black eyed peas and rice, eaten on New yrs' day for good luck thru out the
coming year.  It is a southern thing, from the slave era....but not many will
admit it.   cook ham hocks, onions and black eyed peas together then add
rice....
poor person food to some....good eatin' to me....
