My H.S. biology teacher was taken captive by a tribe of headhunters in WWII
and assured the class that human beings taste like the finest pork you can
imagine. I also am in contact with an elderly lady in Hawaii who has a recipe
specifically for the use as a BBQ sauce  for long pork which she refuses to
divulge for obvious reasons.

For the most part contact with primitive tribes who were and are noted for
canabalism has produced little , if any, documented background on the
butchering, preperation and cooking of  humans. This is in itself highly
unusual considering the thoroughness of most of the field anthropologists I
know albeit somewhat understandable in view of our own social and cultural
mores.

Now would it be possible to return to the subject of Medieval Cookery and
leave potentially distasteful subjects like cannibalism as well as Southern,
Creole and other OOP topics by the wayside?
