SC - Re The Periodicity of Digby (SILLY)

I thought, in my dithering state, that the publication date for Digby's
"Closet...etc" was 1669.

As for his periodicity, I can only point out that he wore pants. As far
as I'm concerned, the date at which most men wore pants more or less all
the time, is when period ends. I shan't stoop to degraded arguments as
to whether period ends with the death of Elizabeth, or the ECW, or the
use of gunpowder. The key is pants. As far as I'm concerned, dates in
period should be listed with the notations of either B.P., or A.P.
