Lord Ras, Gulf Wars is a conflaguration between the Kingdoms of Ansteorra and
Trimaris, therefore the competition is between them.

Of course allies can be bought....er...recruited, mercenary cooks hired, great
processionals planned.  Hmmm...usually mercenary/allied fighters are recruited
with bribes of alcohol and meals.  Hey, Ras! If you cook for Ansteorra I'll let
you fight in four melees with some pick-up fights with a Duke! Whaddyasay?

The East and Aethelmearc may have the best cooks but not at Gulf Wars. Just like
everybody KNOWS the best fighters at Pennsic are the Ansteorrans!
