Frittered Chitterlings? 

This recipe is suspiciously like the one for :"Hasselets" whichbasically is
an illusion food consisting of dried fruits (e.g. dates and figs) strung on a
string, dipped in batter, fried and served. The illusion is , of course, to
dog feces or pick your animal poop. :-)
