I ain't a newcomer, and this is too late to help.  But the Sundays At
Moosewood cookbook has a recipe for lemon parmesan rice that this puts me in
mind of.

Rice cooked through, egg yolk added while still hot, and stirred, plus
lemon juice and zest, and parmesan cheese.  Plus black pepper, of course.
