In my experience, the most common reason for AOL to 
(currently) appear as if it is double-sending is if 
the AOL originator specifies a "blind copy" on the 
message.

I've been fighting this one myself (primary "play"
accounts are on AOL, for now... if they don't get
Casablanca aka AOL 4.0 "right", I'm cutting that 
account to minimum cost -- don't want to give up 
the addresses -- and getting a "local" ISP.)

Hope this helps, at least until AOL does something
*else* screwball with their mailer component.
