In a message dated 97-10-25 10:16:07 EDT, you write:

<< Since the post I'm replying to comes from AOL, I doubt it is entirely
computer-generated. Some person must have initiated it, and that being
the case, I would much prefer that it be signed with the actual name or
 address of the sender.

 Thank you!

I checked the Member profiles on AOL. There is no profile for "Digestuser".
It appears that the original poster is reticent to be identified or revels in
being "list administrator " for a day.

Personaly, if a post is labeled silly, OOP, OFF TOPIC or whatnot, I have no
problem with that. If it has NOTHING to do with period cookery, that is also
fine. This list is for all intent and purposes the "SCA-Cooks" list not the
Medieval-Cooks list. I am extremely dexterous and learned quickly the use of
the delete key. I also find the digest version much more time consuming and
unwieldy than individual posts.

The suggestion that subject headings be changed with a change in topic does
have, IMHO, some validity. What say you , The One and Only True Pope of the
Cathedral of the Flaming Salamander? Speak and we shall obey!!!!!! :-)
