Mistress Anne of Hatfield, Founding Baroness of Dragonship Haven, made a
"Bruise Juice" which contained, among other things, oil of Betony.
Having recieved some from her own stock after a particularly hard
practice (in the days before leg armor was required) I can vouch for
it's efficacy. it was very soothing.
