Okay, I have had a suggestion of almond oil, rice flour and cornstarch.  Which leads to more questions. <evil grin> 

1.  If you use almond oil, which, mind you, I have not, does this add any flavor to the candy?  

2.  If I were looking for something you could see through (stained glass type) wouldn't the rice flour and cornstarch leave the item cloudy?
