Within the hierarchy of the Cathedral, Pug is obviously
Senior Architect and Prelate Emeritus (full rights,
no fixed responsibilities).

I think I am going to keep an eye out in the stores for
toy salamanders and small ox-cart-wheeled wagons: DIY
nef kit. The wagon I might be able to cobble up, the
amphibian is beyond my current expertise as a sculptor.

Clare, do you have any comments on what may have been 
distributed to the table *in* a nef, beyond just salt
and pepper?

How might this have changed between 1400ce and 1600ce?
