I don't lnow about that, I live in CT, and we are [distance/time wise]
about in the center of the kingdom- I can go to Delaware in 5 hours, and
Montreal in 6-8, and Boston/New Hampshire in 2, 2 1/2 hours. We and a
number of us go to a lot of teh same events. I find many people don't
think much about hopping into the car and going 4 hours for a daytrip
event, or the whole way to the western border for camping events.

I do agree, sometimes it seems to take forever aftr the day events
before court happens, but many times it is barely long enough to get the
guys out of their armor.

Most every court awards the prizes to the winners of the days events. If
they held court during the day, the people in the list and watching the
lists would miss court. The solution to that would be to hold court near
the fields, with the awardingand business fitting in between the bouts,
not an elegant solution. I personally like having court during the
feast, but it can be hard tohear the talking over the dinner sounds, but
then again, many times it is impossible to hear the business going on
anyway.
